Critterz was formed in 2018 with the desire to provide every community cat in Bledsoe County with an environment where they have access to food, shelter from the elements, access to spay/neuter services and caretakers that support these basic needs.
Bledsoe County has a human population of 12,876, no animal control services and has been designated as one of 15 distressed counties in the state of Tennessee. Animal populations have been multiplying unchecked for several years and travels to the nearest low cost spay/neuter facility takes over an hour...although we hope to have Sequatchie Valley Low Cost Spay & Neuter fully functional within a few months.
Critterz partners with local animal welfare organizations to either place adoptable individuals or return non-adoptable spayed/neutered and vaccinated animals to the community area. We assist colony caretakers with trapping, transport and financial assistance as needed.
